The Leaf Curling Spider

The leaf curling spider is an orb web spinning spider that hides in a curled leaf during the day.I am always fascinated when I see them and they are found quite abundantly in Australia.
The one pictured was taken in  Renmark South Australia.
Once again a marvel of God's creation.
The question you ask is if they weren't instinctively born to do this, how many died from predators before they discovered how to do this?
Also a question is : How is this skill passed from one generation to the next?
They make a nice photographic subject and a good opportunity to practice blurring the background.
Even with  a subject like this it is good to move around and changing perspective, background and composition.

Below is some info on these spiders ion wikipedia
